The U.S. Attorney's Office said in a news release Friday, April 13, that Theodore "Ted" Martin, 54, and his wife, Arminda Martin, 47, of Ravenna, Ohio, were indicted by a grand jury for mail fraud Thursday, April 12.Between 2003 and 2016, the two owned Suburban Memorial Gardens, 3875 Bull Road, and they collected money for burial services, plots, vaults, caskets and grave markers between 2010 and 2016, according to the release.Theodore Martin. Those charges alleged that the two accepted money from customers for grave markers but did not complete their purchases.More: Owner of Conewago cemetery guilty of theft in OhioMore: Conewago Twp. cemetery owners get prison time in Ohio caseMore: Dover-area cemetery owners charged with theft in OhioIn May 2016, police withdrew all of the theft charges because the investigation was turned over to the federal Office of the Inspector General, police said at the time. Some of the grave markers paid for by clients but never purchased by the Martins were for military veterans, Northern York C...
